The anime style
Cel-shaded skies, hard-edged light, saturated gradients. The look most roleplay servers aimed at a younger audience ask for.
Anime plates trade depth for legibility, and at small sizes that trade pays. Hard-edged shapes and high-chroma gradients survive a 468x60 crop and a 300x300 downscale far better than a photographic scene does, because there is no fine detail to lose.
They are also the most distinctive in a server browser full of dark photographic strips. That is the point and the risk: a server that goes anime is making a claim about its audience, and the branding will read as that claim whether or not the roleplay matches it.
The one technical note: cel shading produces large flat areas and hard edges, which is the worst case for GIF dithering. The animated exports use a tighter palette and gentler dither for anime plates to stop banding appearing across the sky.
The anime rooftop scene
A rooftop above a city at the end of the day, clouds stacked to the top of the frame.
The rooftop vantage point gives a high horizon and an enormous sky, which is the single most useful property a plate can have for the wide FiveM formats: at 1865x108 the crop lands entirely in cloud and light, so there is nothing to lose. It is the plate to pick if the detail strip matters more to you than the square formats.
The same scene is also drawn in grunge, painted and photoreal.
Blue as a server colour
The default for anything that wants to read as organised rather than exciting.
Blue is the most common accent in roleplay branding, which cuts both ways: it signals competence and it does not stand out. Where it genuinely helps is the emergency-services and law-enforcement side of a server, where blue is already the colour of the thing being depicted. Keep it saturated; a muted slate blue is one of the colours that disappears into Discord's sidebar.
