A light map. Paper-white land, soft blue water, and dark roads — the opposite approach to everything else in the set.
The palette
What ALABASTER actually does
ALABASTER puts the land at #ffffff falling to a warm #f6f4f0, the water at a muted #b9c6d4, and inverts the road network so it is drawn dark on light. The effect is a printed street map rather than a glowing radar, and it is the only palette here that changes what the minimap feels like rather than what colour it is.
How it sits under your blips
Light grounds behave differently: saturated blips gain contrast, but white and pale-yellow icons lose it, and any white text the game draws over the map can disappear entirely. Check your waypoint and your GPS route against it before you commit. If your HUD draws light-coloured markers, this palette will fight them.
Servers it suits
Clean, modern server identities, and anything that gets streamed or clipped a lot — light maps read noticeably better through video compression than very dark ones.
When to pick something else
Mixed light if you want a light map that still carries terrain colour. Gray if the inverted contrast turns out to be a problem for your blips.
Island add-on
White Cayo Perico, $1.00 per map
GTA 5 draws Cayo Perico from its own Scaleform file, so replacing the Los Santos minimap leaves the island on the stock Rockstar art. The white island is rendered from the same ALABASTER palette by the same engine and ships as a second drop-in resource.
