The grunge style
Torn edges, print texture, heavy grain, desaturated bases. Suits crime and street roleplay far better than a clean gradient.
Grunge is the only style here that uses texture as the subject. The plate is desaturated and damaged, the accent is the single clean thing in the frame, and the contrast between the two is what carries the composition.
It is the right choice for serious crime roleplay, gang servers and anything positioning itself as gritty, and it is the wrong choice for anything that wants to look welcoming. It is also the hardest style to keep legible, because texture competes with type at every size.
Practically: grunge plates need a heavier outline weight on the wordmark than the other three styles, which is why the default stroke setting is higher on these designs. Turning it down makes the lettering sink into the texture.
The downtown dusk scene
Towers against the last light, windows beginning to come on.
The default choice for serious city roleplay, and the most requested look in FiveM branding generally. A high vertical skyline against a bright horizon band gives maximum tonal separation, so a wordmark sits cleanly over it at any size. The vertical structures do mean a 1865x108 crop needs care, which is why the lockup sits left of centre on this family.
The same scene is also drawn in anime, painted and photoreal.
Amber as a server colour
Warm and grounded, and the closest of all the accents to GTA's own colour.
Amber and gold sit naturally next to Los Santos concrete, dust and sodium light, which makes this the best accent family for an in-game watermark: it looks like part of the world rather than an overlay on it. It is also the most forgiving over a warm plate, because it joins the scene's scheme instead of fighting it.
