Arctic — a light ox_inventory and ox_lib theme that stays readable in daylight

Almost every FiveM UI is dark. Arctic is not: white panels, soft grey borders, a decisive blue accent and a raised panel treatment with an inner highlight so the interface still reads as a surface above the game.

Light UI over a bright GTA scene is genuinely hard to do — the text has to survive snow, sand and midday sun. Arctic solves it with opaque panels, a dark ink colour for text and a white inner highlight that separates the panel from whatever is behind it.

Best for

  • Medical and police servers
  • Clean, corporate roleplay
  • Servers targeting a non-gamer audience
  • Anyone tired of dark themes

What makes it different

  • True light palette (#e9edf3 background, #ffffff panels) with WCAG-checked text contrast
  • Blue accent reserved for interactive state: selected rows, focus rings, progress fills
  • White inner highlight on every panel so it never melts into a bright background
  • Soft sheen sweep on the progress bar, round-capped progress ring

What Arctic restyles in ox_inventory

ox_inventory is the slot-based inventory most serious FiveM servers run. It is the screen your players stare at longer than any other: the grid, the item slots, the weight readout, the shop, the stash, the crafting bench and the hotbar.

Inventory grid

Panel frame, header with the owner name and weight readout, the slot grid itself — column count from four to eight — and the scroll behaviour.

Item slots

Slot background, border, radius, image size and fit, slot numbers, item labels (below the slot, overlaid on it, or hidden), count and weight figures, prices and currency.

Durability and weight

The per-item durability bar and the inventory weight bar, each with bar, thin or hidden variants.

Tooltip

Item tooltip width, framing, heading, description, metadata rows, crafting ingredients and duration.

Context menu

The right-click item menu: panel, rows, hover state and dividers.

Shop, stash and crafting

The right-hand panel in all of its modes, including shop prices, crafting ingredient lists and the can-craft state.

Centre controls

The use / give / close buttons and the amount input, in column, row or compact layout.

Hotbar and item notifications

The hotbar strip (panel, floating or minimal, placed bottom, bottom-left or top) and the pickup/use/remove notifications.

What Arctic restyles in ox_lib

ox_lib is the shared library almost every modern FiveM script depends on. It draws the context menus, list menus, radial menu, input dialogs, notifications, progress bars and skill checks that your players see dozens of times per session.

Context menu

Header, close button, menu buttons, icons, descriptions, metadata rows, progress bars inside items and the arrow/submenu indicators.

List menu

The scrolling menu with its header band, selected row, side-scroll values, per-item progress and the scroll arrows.

Radial menu

Sectors, dividers, icons, labels, the background disc and the centre button — including a custom animated SVG close mark drawn exactly on the centre.

Notifications

Success, error, warning and info toasts, with solid, accent-bar or outline framing, custom icons and description-only variants.

Progress bar and ring

Both timed indicators: a panel-based bar with a tinted fill and accent head, and a ring with a visible track, percentage readout and a labelled chip. Each template animates them differently.

Skill check

Track, skill area, indicator and the key prompt, with adjustable stroke thickness.

Dialogs

Input dialog with every row type (text, number, slider, select, multi-select, checkbox, date, time, colour, textarea) and the alert dialog, plus the underlying Mantine inputs, dropdowns, sliders and tooltips.

TextUI

The on-screen prompt in panel, pill or key style, in every supported screen position.

Questions

Does the Arctic theme change how ox_lib or ox_inventory work?

No. The Lua, the exports, the NUI focus handling and every piece of logic stay exactly as Overextended shipped them. The theme is a presentation layer: a stylesheet, a small runtime and a configuration file loaded next to the official build.

Can I keep customising it after buying?

Yes. Every colour, font, radius, density, icon and layout value lives in web/build/oxs/theme.json inside the package, and the same project stays editable in the studio, so you can export an updated package whenever your branding changes.

Which versions does it target?

ox_lib 3.41.0 and ox_inventory 2.48.1. You can install the package as the resource itself, or copy the theme layer onto an installation you already run.

Export a FiveM-ready package

Every export contains the complete resource source, the upstream LICENSE and NOTICE, a MODIFICATIONS file listing each change, the fonts used by the theme served locally, your uploaded logo and banner, and an install guide for both a fresh install and an upgrade. ox_lib and ox_inventory are the work of Overextended; the theme layer and the studio are ours.
