Message of the Day
Large prominent announcement card.
One message everyone sees today. Use it for the thing you would otherwise pin in Discord and hope people read.
Widget 25 of 50 in the catalogue. The preview above is the real block, drawn from its default configuration.
Adding the message of the day
- Write the message — one or two sentences.
- Place it where the eye lands first.
- Change it when it stops being true.
What this widget exposes
3 settings of its own. On top of those, every widget can be moved, resized, layered and restyled: background, border, corner radius, shadow, opacity, colours and entrance animation.
Message of the Day questions
How often should it change?
Whenever the message changes. A months-old MOTD signals an unmaintained server.
MOTD or Announcement Banner?
MOTD is the standing message. The banner is for something urgent and temporary.
